DEC Anbalaya, organized and observed the World Autism Awareness Day on 2nd April 2023, in Thiruvottriyur Centre, followed by the theme for World Autism Awareness day of "Transforming the narrative: contributions at home, at work, in the arts, and in policy making". The main objective of this awareness day is to raise awareness about autistic individuals in the community. All the special children and their parents participated in this observance and created awareness about Autism. Mr. K. Prabhakaran, Secretary of the Development Education Centre, graced the occasion. The Special Educators and Therapist of DEC Anbalaya, spoke to the gathering about autism and about autistic children. Later on, the students enjoyed and were overwhelmed by the new adaptive sports stall and other amenities.
