The scent of cardamom and bubbling jaggery didn’t just signal a festival on January 12th 2026, it showcased a celebration of limitless potential.

At Anbalaya Special School, Pongal 2026 wasn’t just an event.  it was a vibrant explosion of color, rhythm, and pure joy. From the very first stroke of the Kolam competition to the final beat of the Kummidance, our students proved that tradition belongs to everyone.

A Stage Full of Stars

Our campus was graced by three powerhouse guests who witnessed the magic firsthand:

·         Mrs. Kalaiselvi (Ever Lady HS School)

·         Mrs. Rani Selvam (Advocate, IOB Team)

·         Rev. Sr. Victoria (St. Paul’s Primary School), who masterfully moderated our high energy Pattimandram.

The Heartbeat of the Day

The energy was electric. We didn't just watch. we experienced.

Every class gathered around their pots for traditional Pongal making.

The rhythmic clacking of Kolattam sticks and the soulful grace of Folk Dances brought the audience to their feet.

Students showcased their spirit in sports and games, proving that determination wins every time.

More Than Just a Festival

As the Prize Distribution wrapped up and the final Vote of Thanks was given, one thing was clear. Anbalaya isn't just a school; it’s a family where every harvest is a harvest of hope.

The smiles on our student’s faces were brighter than the afternoon sun in Thiruvottiyur. We didn't just celebrate a season. We celebrated them.
